Teamwork

Imoca Teamwork

Launched in late summer 2018, Charal was the first IMOCA to be designed specifically for foils. Her skipper Jérémie Beyou wanted her to have a certain versatility, to be able to perform on other points of sail than reaching.

Inter Invest

Commissioned for Thibaut Vauchel-Camus, Solidaires en Peloton – ARSEP was designed in a similar spirit to Ciela Village which had been launched a few months beforehand. Under the influence of Franck-Yves Escoffier, who advised the skipper during construction, she was given greater freeboard and higher float beams to increase her suitability for ocean racing.

Befoil

Befoil is the first foiling catamaran for beginners and sailing schools. The design aims to make foiling easier and safer for everyone.

Banque Populaire IX

Built two years after the first version of Macif 100 and skippered by Armel Le Cléac’h, Banque Populaire IX is much, much more of a foiler than François Gabart’s initial Ultim.

Figaro 3

After a call for tenders, the job of designing the third generation of Figaro Beneteau boats was entrusted to VPLP, whose winning bid focused on creating “a gateway to ocean racing”. Figaro 3 adheres faithfully to the VPLP motto of lightness and power.

Actual Ultim 3

Macif was designed in close collaboration with François Gabart and his technical team, fresh from their wins in the Vendée Globe and the Route du Rhum. The remit was to produce a boat for solo and short-handed racing and record-breaking. Launched in 2015, she is almost as beamy as her rivals and carries the same amount of sail, but weighs in two tonnes lighter.
