L’Atelier des tropiques

The Studio in the Tropics, or studio boat as it was described in a special exhibition at the Quai Branly Museum (13 November 2018–10 February 2019), is the project of Titouan Lamazou, artist and inaugural winner of the Vendée Globe.

Maxi 80 Prince de Bretagne

Lionel Lemonchois wanted a light and manoeuvrable multihull for single-handed sailing, one that was quick, reliable and cut the water cleanly. VPLP came up with a platform based on existing parts recovered from the 60’ ORMA trimaran Sodebo, launched in 2002 for Thomas Coville, such as the beams, the rigging, the appendages and the deck […]

Noah 88 (Kenzo)

Noah 88 was a preliminary project undertaken in collaboration with the former owner of Douce France in a bid to develop a range of motor-catamarans which could maintain a cruising speed of 12–15 knots. The Noah range was designed for comfort and habitability with broad living areas spread over three levels. All three models feature cosy […]

Outremer 5X

Designed for boat owners wanting to sail round the world, the Outremer 5X is a daggerboard catamaran built in cored laminate. She is light, fast and features an excellent length-to-weight ratio which allows her to clock up impressive speeds in light winds.

Mousetrap

Designed for undertaking cruises around the globe, Mousetrap was laid up by CDK Technologies, assembled and finished by JFA Yachts, and launched in 2012. Her impressive dimensions (110’ long, 46’ beam, 147’6” air draught) make her one of the largest cruising catamarans in the world built in carbon fibre.

Pescavel

Pescavel is an extension of the work undertaken for the Lokeya, in other words, a 24 m fishing catamaran commissioned by Réunion trollers in the Indian Ocean who wanted to make fuel savings and use more environmentally fishing methods that wouldn’t impact their competitiveness.

Moxie

The specifications for the Moxie 61 were to design a fast, light, reliable and easy to sail cruising catamaran for boat owners looking for performance and style. With her 62’ LOA, 31’6” beam and sleek profile, the Moxie 61 more than lived up to her remit. She is – along with Ciliam – one of the first sailing catamarans to have an aft-of-centre mast, resulting in a more efficient rig.

Hemisphere

Yet another exceptional boat! Launched in 2011, this huge 145’ luxury catamaran is the ultimate blue-water boat for cruising the Pacific Ocean. Built in aluminium with carbon-fibre masts and spars, her sloop rig carries 1,123 m² of sail reaching and 856 m² on a wind.
