Excess 12

With her shortened superstructure, attractive coachroof profile and helm stations set well aft – close to the sea and the crew – the Excess 12 has superlative sea-keeping qualities.

The general idea is to be able to enjoy the comfort of a cruising catamaran and some of the exhilarating feel associated with a monohull, especially at the wheel which is designed to be light and precise.

For greater performance, the optional Pulse Line rig offers an enhanced sail plan. The cockpit can be flooded with natural sunlight thanks to the sliding bimini top, which has the other advantage of providing a better view of the sails. Below decks, several layout options are available featuring three or four cabins.
