MODX 70

MODX 70 is an innovative blue-water yacht with eco-friendly credentials for sailing in all weathers. Developed by Ocean Developpement (Marco Simeoni, Franck David, Jean-Marc Normant…), the French yard behind the MOD 70s, the model offers various choices and strong environmental features. The catamaran hull is built with Sicomin’s partially bio-sourced resin Infugreen. Her structure has been lightened as much as possible to reduce weight and facilitate handling.

Canopée

Designed to transport parts of the Ariane 6 rocket from European ports to French Guiana, the cargo ship Canopée is scheduled for launch in late 2022. She will be 121 m long and powered by four 363 m² wingsails set on 36 m masts.

NAVIRE AVENIR

The Navire Avenir is a rescue vessel developed for the non-profit organization SOS Méditerranée, and the first of a European fleet. Numerous designers are involved in the project, including about fifty research groups and art, design and architecture schools from Europe and South America. VPLP Design has been commissioned to design the vessel in collaboration with Marc Ferrand.

SEAFFINITY

Seaffinity is a super streamlined trimaran honoring VPLP Design’s vision of a yacht of the future, silent, partly automated, and propelled by a virtuous energy, the wind.

Trade Wings 2500

Trade Wings 2500 (197 m LOA, 32 m beam) is an innovative concept for “small” container ships of 2500 TEU (twenty foot equivalent units) specializing in trade between subsidiary ports in Europe to supplement mega container ships, but also between ports in the Caribbean, Central America and China.

Solar Boat

This trimaran (or monohull with stabilizers), which bears a certain resemblance to the Komorebi 138, is the result of a commission by an American owner who wanted a solar-powered cruising boat that is fully autonomous in terms of energy.

Niuhiti

Developed for the communities of French Polynesia, the Niuhiti is a 25 m catamaran with a 13 m beam designed to carry passengers and freight between the many atolls and islands in the region.

Komorebi 138

Currently in the preliminary study phase, the Komorebi 138 derives from the Komorebi 282, a concept boat for scientific cruises. VPLP pushed the envelope even further by scaling her down into a luxury yacht for private use.
