Greater space, the comfort of a flatter ride, and high average speeds: the benefits of catamaran ownership are well known, but they’re also enhanced proportionally to hull length. As a result, large catamarans are growing in number and attracting new ownership profiles from a variety of backgrounds. VPLP Design continues to play an active and innovative role in this market, one which we greatly contributed to developing. Naval architecture firm VPLP Design, for whom the quadrennial solo transatlantic race is of huge importance, has designed twenty-nine* of the competing boats.

Euromaritime 2022: Launch of the 24 m city version of the Fast Foiling Ferry (F3)
The Fast Foiling Ferry or F3 (pronounced “F Cube”) is the fruit of a technical and commercial partnership between Alwena Shipping, MerConcept and VPLP Design. It’s an innovative ship concept which lays the groundwork for achieving energy transition in the sea transportation sector.The F3 was originally developed in 2020 as a versatile 30 m catamaran for transporting passengers and came in two versions.
