Excess range

Excess 12, Excess 15, Excess 11 and Excess 14

Developed by Beneteau, the Excess range represents a whole new generation of cruising catamarans that combine performance with luxury and the pleasure of sailing. VPLP Design has worked, in collaboration with Patrick Le Quément as design consultant, on four models: Excess 11, Excess 12, Excess 14 and Excess 15. All of these designs satisfy the expectations of the new generations who are looking for boats that are modern, lively and good-looking, drawing inspiration from the world of competitive sailing.

Excess sailing boats feature helm stations at the stern of each hull to ensure an excellent view of the sails and enhance the experience at the wheel. Stepping the mast on the deck allows for an optimal deck layout. As an optional extra, owners can choose a Pulse Line rig with a taller mast and, as a result, a larger sail plan. This allows the boat to sail in a light breeze, reducing engine use.
