She\u2019s a hybrid ship designed to carry passengers in a level of comfort close to the conditions found a cruise ship, while retaining considerable hold capacity to transport large volumes of RORO freight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An extremely versatile vessel, she would be the <strong>Swiss Army knife of maritime transport<\/strong>, aimed at islands and other isolated territories where ferry sailings are infrequent and require much operational flexibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"350\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/VAITERE-Ro-Pax-700x350px.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23437\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/VAITERE-Ro-Pax-700x350px.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/VAITERE-Ro-Pax-700x350px-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9 VPLP Design<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This ROPAX could be fitted with up to three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/en\/specials\/oceanwings\/\"><strong>OceanWings <\/strong><\/a><strong>wingsails <\/strong>to harness the power of the trade winds which blow steadily throughout the year, thus considerably reducing CO\u00b2 emissions.
