{"id":20318,"date":"1983-01-31T08:29:07","date_gmt":"1983-01-31T07:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2024.vplp.fr\/projet\/gerard-lambert\/"},"modified":"2025-03-06T16:03:00","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T15:03:00","slug":"gerard-lambert","status":"publish","type":"projet","link":"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/en\/racing\/gerard-lambert\/","title":{"rendered":"G\u00e9rard Lambert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><i>G\u00e9rard Lambert<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, named for the hero of a song by French rocker Renaud, <strong>is VPLP&#8217;s very first design<\/strong><\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and was produced in the same year as the studio was founded!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Built in glass and carbon fibre in 1983 in a little village in the Breton region of the Morbihan by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/en\/news\/jean-francois-life-changing-meeting\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jean-Fran\u00e7ois de Pr\u00e9morel <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for Vincent L\u00e9vy, this <\/span><b>50-foot trimaran featured foils \u2013 already! \u2013<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> added to glass-reinforced plastic floats (GRP) for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10951\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10951\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10951\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/1983\/01\/trimaran-gerard-lambert-1983-vplp-design-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"700\" height=\"471\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10951\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Christian F\u00e9vrier<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">G\u00e9rard Lambert<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took part in the 1983 La Baule\u2013Dakar and finished <\/span><b>11th in OSTAR 1984<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, crossing the line 15 hours behind the winner. During the 1986 Route du Rhum, skipper <strong>Olivier Moussy<\/strong> had to abandon her after colliding with a cargo vessel.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>G\u00e9rard Lambert, named for the hero of a song by French rocker Renaud, was our very first design and was produced in the same year we founded the naval architecture firm called VPLP!
