RMO<\/i><\/b> then <\/span>Primagaz<\/i><\/b> then <\/span>Foncia<\/i><\/b> then <\/span>Bayer<\/i><\/b> then <\/span>Rexona<\/i><\/b> then <\/span>R\u00e9gion Guadeloupe<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Primagaz<\/span><\/i>, launched under the name of her initial sponsor RMO, is <\/span>one of the most successful multihulls of the ORMA\u00a060s <\/b>designed by VPLP in the 1990s and 2000s. Carrying <\/span>Laurent Bourgnon to two victories in the Route du Rhum<\/b> (1994 and 1998), she symbolizes the first generation of the 60\u2019 ORMA. Developed from <\/span>Pierre\u00a01er<\/span><\/i>, this new trimaran was the first to sail on a single float. Built by the B & B yard in La Trinit\u00e9, she is beamier than her ancestor with different floats and hull shape below the waterline.<\/span><\/p>\n

Primagaz<\/span><\/i> would be <\/span>a veritable testing ground throughout her lifetime <\/b>and VPLP, nurturing grand ambitions for ocean trimaran racing in the early 1990s, couldn\u2019t dream of a better skipper than the talented Laurent Bourgnon to launch the ORMA class.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Bourgnon at the helm, the trimaran acquired an impressive list of trophies, including the transmediterranean record, transatlantic record and wins in numerous major races. And while she was best known as <\/span>Primagaz<\/span><\/i>, she continued to race under several other monikers, such as <\/span>Foncia, Bayer, Rexona<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>R\u00e9gion Guadeloupe<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
