Originally designed by VPLP, Verdier and Michel Desjoyeaux, the formerly named <\/span><b><i>Foncia <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was built in the space of a few months. She ran the <\/span><b>Route du Rhum and the Barcelona World Race<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the weeks immediately following her launch in September 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/banque-populaire-vi-armel-le-cleac-h-imoca-768x510-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\" class=\"wp-image-10538\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>\u00a9 Benoit Stichelbaut\/BPCE<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Renamed <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Banque Populaire&nbsp;VI<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2011 with <\/span><b>Armel Le Cl\u00e9ac\u2019h<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the helm, she finished third in the Transat Jacques Vabre and <\/span><b>second in the Vend\u00e9e Globe<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, arriving just a few hours after her sistership <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Macif<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"D\u00e9couvrez Le Mono 60 Banque Populaire \u00e0 l entra\u00eenement avec Armel Le Cl\u00e9ac h et Christopher Pratt\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M0CYHyIU00M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the name of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ma\u00eetre CoQ<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and commanded by <\/span><b>J\u00e9r\u00e9mie Beyou<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> she achieved third place in the 2013 Transat Jacques Vabre and second in the 2014 Route du Rhum. She also managed a <\/span><b>podium place in the 2016\u201317 Vend\u00e9e Globe <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">thanks to the addition of foils designed by Nick Holroyd.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/imoca-maitre-coq-2013-vplp-design-768x512-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\" class=\"wp-image-10542\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>\u00a9 C.Breschi<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rebranded <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Initiatives Coeur&nbsp;3<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2017, her new owners placed her in the capable hands of skipper <\/span><b>Tanguy de Lamotte<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The following season <\/span><b>Sam Davies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took command and oversaw the fitting of a pair of big new foils.
