VPLP came up with a platform <\/span><b>based on existing parts recovered from the 60\u2019 ORMA trimaran <\/b><b><i>Sodebo<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, launched in 2002 for Thomas Coville, such as the beams, the rigging, the appendages and the deck fittings.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10435\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10435\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10435\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/maxi-prince-de-bretagne-trimaran-768x384-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"700\" height=\"350\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10435\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Prince de Bretagne<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main hull and the floats are new and incorporate the advances made in design, resulting in <\/span><b>a 24-metre hull which weighs the same as an 18-metre one from ten years ago<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Launched in her new configuration in late 2012, the trimaran came fourth in the 2014 Route du Rhum before encountering setbacks in the 2015 and 2017 editions of the Transat Jacques Vabre.
