She differs from her closest 100\u2019 rivals by <\/span><b>her considerable beam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, her mast stepped well aft and her boom ending directly above the transom. This configuration allows her to have a <\/span><b>sail plan with a high aspect ratio<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10253\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10253\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10253\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/comanche-vplp-design-verdier-768x384-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"700\" height=\"350\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10253\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Daniel Forster<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cockpit is set up for manual rather than hydraulic line controls, thus saving on weight. The hull features <\/span><b>very powerful lines<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while her draught is at the extreme limit of what most docks are able to accommodate (6.80\u00a0m).
