{"id":20253,"date":"2015-01-30T09:07:34","date_gmt":"2015-01-30T08:07:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2024.vplp.fr\/projet\/nexans-arts-fenetres-2\/"},"modified":"2024-08-23T13:42:41","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T11:42:41","slug":"nexans-arts-fenetres","status":"publish","type":"projet","link":"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/en\/racing\/nexans-arts-fenetres\/","title":{"rendered":"Nexans-Arts &#038; Fen\u00eatres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><i>Vento di Sardegna<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> then <\/span><b><i>No Way Back<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> then <\/span><b><i>Newrest-Arts &amp; Fen\u00eatres<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> then <\/span><b><i>Nexans-Arts &amp; Fen\u00eatres<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commissioned for the Sardinian sailor <\/span><b>Andrea Mura<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the sixth and final IMOCA of the 2015 generation designed by VPLP was ultimately sold to <\/span><b>Pieter Heerema<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for his attempt at the 2016 Vend\u00e9e Globe.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10098\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10098\" style=\"width: 701px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10098\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Newrest-Arts-et-Fenetres-imoca-768x512-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"701\" height=\"467\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10098\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Fran\u00e7ois Van Malleghem<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Built at the Persico yard in Italy under the meticulous direction of Antoine Mermod, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No Way Back<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was a <\/span><b>sistership to <\/b><b><i>Banque Populaire VIII<\/i><\/b><b> and <\/b><b><i>Safran 2<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and shared a similar hull design that focused on power and reaching.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10100\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10100\" style=\"width: 701px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10100\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vplp.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Imoca-Newrest-Arts-et-Fenetres-Defi-Azimut-768x512-1.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"701\" height=\"467\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10100\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Christophe Favreau<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simpler than her five predecessors, she also benefited from lessons learnt in the Transat Jacques Vabre, a first test for the foiling IMOCAs in the autumn of 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the 2016\u201317 Vend\u00e9e Globe, she was sold to <\/span><b>Fabrice Amedeo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and renamed <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Newrest-Arts &amp; Fen\u00eatres<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in readiness for the following edition of the Vend\u00e9e Globe, which saw her forced to retire in the Indian Ocean.
