After the launch of their 39, 42, 52 and 77 footers, Lagoon continues to invest in its product portfolio with the release of the\u00a0Lagoon\u00a040,<\/em>\u00a0the\u00a0Lagoon\u00a050<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0SEVENTY8<\/em>. The new models have been going on display for the very first time at Cannes Yachting Festival. Lagoon and VPLP design have been collaborating since 1987.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are continuing to update our range, the focus being on quality and luxury<\/em>,\u201d says Marc Dognin, project manager at VPLP design.\u00a0\u201cThe 40 and 50 feature, for example, greater relief around the portholes and fuller lines.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Much attention was paid to exterior design, in partnership with\u00a0Patrick le Qu\u00e9ment <\/em>who has been a regular VPLP collaborator over the years. Nauta designed the interior. With the mast stepped further aft to facilitate sail manoeuvres, a flush deck throughout the cockpit for comfortable access to the stern ladders, and redesigned windows to lighten the coachroof, the Lagoon\u00a040 and 50 are \u201cfaithful to the fundamentals of the brand<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

As for SEVENTY8, the model is now the flagship of the brand\u2019s motor-yachts. Developed in parallel with the\u00a0SEVENTY7<\/em>, the largest of Lagoon\u2019s sailing catamarans, the SEVENTY8 is a \u201csemi-custom\u201d build at Construction Navale de Bordeaux (CNB), Beneteau Group\u2019s large vessel yard. Featuring the hull door made famous by her sailing sister-ship, SEVENTY8 marks Lagoon\u2019s first foray into the world of motor-yachts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
