– Canop\u00e9e has completed its very first transatlantic crossing and has reached Pariacabo harbor in French Guiana.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– The new-generation sailing cargo ship has been custom-designed to ship Ariane 6 launcher components to Kourou.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– Canop\u00e9e will be fitted with sails. Its hybrid propulsion uses a combination of sails and traditional engines.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– This first crossing is part of a series of sea trials to qualify harbor infrastructure and Canop\u00e9e\u2019s future shipping route.
\n– The use of Canop\u00e9e will ultimately halve the costs of shipping Ariane parts and reduce the environmental footprint.<\/div>\n
