Paragon

Paragon illustrates VPLP Design’s quest for excellence. This fast 85’ (26 m) monohull was conceived like a flawless diamond, shaped for its visual perfection and technical performance. This project opens the door to a new era of vessels inspired by maxi sailing boats and foilers, both inshore and offshore.

Canopée

Designed to transport parts of the Ariane 6 rocket from European ports to French Guiana, the cargo ship Canopée is scheduled for launch in late 2022. She will be 121 m long and powered by four 363 m² wingsails set on 36 m masts.

Malizia 3

Malizia-Sea-Explorer, Boris Hermann’s new IMOCA, was designed for both the 2023 Ocean Race and the 2024 Vendée Globe.

Persévérance

Resulting from a collaboration with Olivier Petit, architect of Antarctica (now Tara), the Persévérance is an ocean-going sailing supply ship designed for the icy waters around Antarctica. She is tasked with carrying relief crew and equipment to the Polar Pod, the future drifting oceanographic research station devised for Jean-Louis Étienne.

Hublot

Hugo Boss (version 2019) then Hublot.

Clak40

In late 2020, in collaboration with the Multiplast yard, VPLP ventured into the Class40 universe for the very first time. “We had been interested in this class for quite a while,” says Vincent Lauriot-Prévost, “but hadn’t quite found a suitable opening. This all changed when we saw the scows enter the fray and display significantly better performances than the previous boats. It was then that we said to ourselves that it was the right moment.”

Cerulean

Commissioned by the Micronesian Center for Sustainable Transport, a programme of the University of the South Pacific based in the Fiji Islands, and financed by the CNC shipping company, this project aims to develop a line of simple, robust and sober sailing cargo vessels to transport materials and essential commodities between the islands of the South Pacific.

Trade Wings 2500

Trade Wings 2500 (197 m LOA, 32 m beam) is an innovative concept for “small” container ships of 2500 TEU (twenty foot equivalent units) specializing in trade between subsidiary ports in Europe to supplement mega container ships, but also between ports in the Caribbean, Central America and China.

DMG MORI

DMG Mori is Charal’s sistership, identical except for the few modifications requested by Kojiro Shiraishi and his team.

Teamwork

Imoca Teamwork

Launched in late summer 2018, Charal was the first IMOCA to be designed specifically for foils. Her skipper Jérémie Beyou wanted her to have a certain versatility, to be able to perform on other points of sail than reaching.
